September Blogging Challenge: Why I Started.

Why did I start blogging? Well, there are many reasons I started blogging. One is we move-a lot! Like, think about this if you think you move a lot you probably do, but be comforted by the fact that I probably move more. We don't just move houses in one little city, we usually make it a good move, like, across the country, well, at least halfway each time, anyway. I grew up in Jacksonville, FL, lived there my entire life. Then at 18 married my hubby and we moved to Lompoc, CA, then to Denver, CO, then to Satellite Beach, FL, then to Orlando, FL, then to Topeka, KS, then back to Jacksonville, then Austin, TX, Santa Monica, CA, now to Vancouver, BC, Canada. We still have more moves in store I'm sure in the future, but this is why I started blogging. Moving as much as I do it is very difficult to constantly find new friends. So, I figured while I am making new friends I would take this opportunity to share my projects and passions with the rest of the world!

So, that is why I blog, to share the things I love with anyone who cares to read!

  1. Blogging is awesome. As someone who moved around a lot when I was younger - I sure wish I had the internet back then! Great way to keep in touch.

    1. So true! My teenager is still in touch with so many friends back all the way to 2nd grade!! I encourage her to blog because I think it's a great way for her to document and share her experiences as a young person who moves so much!

  3. I move a lot also, but usually staying in Santa Barbara or Goleta. It's nice that you can keep your bloggy friends while moving from place to place :)

    1. Yes, we've really run the gamut as far as exploring regions of the US/North America. I have to say over all I loved Topeka, KS because of the community of the area, but my love is definitely with Vancouver right now. It's a big city and I am definitely a city girl. I love walking everywhere, using transportation, and getting to show my kiddo how to navigate the city.

  5. I totally understand what you mean. I've moved around a lot. Probably not as much as you, but I get it. It's hard to meet people. Some cities are definitely friendly than others. I find that online friends are great to have because they stay in touch more often than some of the ones that you meet in real life.

  6. You do move around alot! With blogging you can keep your friends as you move and any friends you have made in each place can keep up with you after you leave their area. I think it is a brilliant solution, along with a great way to keep you stuff all in one place.
