Feature Friday #2

These weeks seem to be going by faster and faster these days! I am less than two weeks away from my Hawaii Spring Break trip with my 14 year old to visit my best and oldest friend from childhood! I can't even believe it. I have always wanted to go to Hawaii but to get to share that with  my daughter and my best friend...talk about a dream come true!

Another exciting thing that happened to me earlier this week is my feature over at The Wednesday Round Up!

Love, Pasta and a Tool Belt

Go on over and check it out! While you are there check out all the other great things that were linked up last week and this week!

Last week I did my first Feature Friday and I linked up over at a great site called Blogitudes. If you are a blogger and do a weekly wrap up like this head on over and link-up! Otherwise, if you just love to read go check it out and read the other bloggers who link up!

What I Read

This last week I read some great articles by other bloggers. The first thing I read was this great article from a blogger I have followed for many years. This woman in fact is who {unknowingly} inspired me to start my blog! I loved everything she posts and since it is somewhat from her everyday life I loved reading it so figured I would do the same! Well, the last week in February, I didn't find it until earlier this week though, she had the opportunity to interview a young woman who runs ultra marathons! I am a runner. I truly love running, I love feeling the sun on my face, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriends when I run. I however have no desire to run any longer than 13.1 miles. I am though inspired by those who run marathons, ultra marathons, triathalons, etc. I find it amazing that they have the willpower to make that happen! So, go on over to Creatlive and read the interview with Samantha Gash, ultramarathoner!

The next thing I read that really spoke to me was from The Jenny Evolution. She has written part one of her experience with something called Novasure.  This is a procedure that isn't quite as intense...but with a similar outcome, i.e., no more children, as a hysterectomy-but helps with women who have seriously unbearable menstrual cycles. Go on over and read it, it is a great article documenting her experience. Here is part two.

The final thing I read was a super fun one! It is from Blogitudes herself. She took a writing prompt and wrote a very cute fictional piece called,  The Letter. I've never read a piece of fiction on a blog but it made me smile and let me know that just when you think things are bad, something good always comes out of it. Yeah, yeah, I'm a major sucker for a happy ending!

What I wrote:

This last week I wrote another piece on my deep cleaning schedule. On the agenda was cleaning my foyer, porch, and laundry room. These are very small areas in our city condo so they are easy to do in one fell swoop! Go on over and check it out!

Another fun piece is my lamp makeover. This was a cute, easy, fun project! Plus, you can check out one of my pinterest boards. Go follow me if you aren't already, I pin good stuffs.

My most popular post this week was my What I Ate Wednesday post along with my week in workouts.

What did you read this week, anything I should check out? Leave me a summary & a link in the comments and I will gladly pop on over and check out any interesting articles.

Sunday Social: Blogging

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone has had a fun and exciting weekend! I know we have....I will have a weekend recap coming up because we did a lot of fun things I want to tell everyone about! ;)

Anywhoodle, on to....

Sunday Social

1. What is the name if your blog? Adjusting and Readjusting

2. What do you love most about blogging? I love sharing my passions and ideas with the world. I love posting tutorials or other fun things I've been making or buying with everyone. I also love sharing my travels and adventures with everyone.

3. Why did you start blogging? I started blogging after our latest move to Vancouver, BC. Prior to this move I mostly worked full time and didn't really feel like I had the time to just sit around and write, but now that I'm not working I figured this would be a great time for me to pursue something I am passionate about.

4. What is something you’d want to tell someone just starting out in the blog world? Don't listen to me because I am too new and have no idea what I am doing! If anyone has some great tips for me feel free to share! I am still trying to consistently break the 200 page visits a day mark lol

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had? Learning that blogger has a nifty little HTML button to click when you are publishing a post written in HTML *blush* I felt like an idiot, but felt so much more knowledgeable after that lol

6. What are three blogs you love? I just wrote about that in my Sept 14th Blog Post for the September blogging challenge I am doing over at A Fresh Start on a budget! Check my post out here!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I have my menu plan coming up soon, but in the meantime if you want to check out my old menu's to get prepped for the week you can do that here

September Blogging Challenge: Blogs I Love

I love a lot of blogs. I have been reading blogs for quite a while and that is actually what drove me to start blogging. I saw a lot of people like myself who were thrifty, crafty, moms, wives, teachers, etc., who were all blogging about their projects and lives. I also love to share my projects with people, but sadly they aren't always wanting to be the willing recipients of my "fun" tutorials. So, after our latest move to Vancouver, BC, Canada and once again being friendless I decided to start blogging about the things I am doing. So....these are the blogs that inspired me:

Frugal Girls!

I love this site. Since moving to Canada many of the "deals" don't apply to me, but I love all the craft projects she posts and the link party she does on Thursdays, I look forward to it every week...even before I started blogging I looked forward to it, now as a blogger I am so grateful she offers the party so I have people to share my latest tutorials with.

A Bowl Full of Lemons

This is another blog I followed long before I started blogging. I loved all of her ideas and she is really an organizing inspiration! Most of the organizing projects I have posted on here have been inspired by things I have seen on her blog, or by challenges posted on her blog!

This gal over at Peas and Crayons helped when I first started blogging as I'd been following her for quite some time and her weekly link party "What I Ate Wednesday" gave me a solid foundation for one post I knew I'd write every single week. Plus, it gives me a feeling of a sense of community that there are other people who love (mostly healthy) eating as much as I do!

So, those are the blogs I love, leave a link in the comments to one of your favourite blogs!
